white sands on the way home, definitely. my mother's side of the family settled southern new mexico (not single handedly, though- that would have been bad). and my grand parents still live in alamogordo. i have many years of experience crossing the vast nothing that is between tucson and alamogordo. be sure to stop and eat at the lottaburger in deming. (just north of i-10 off of the first exit - think WT in-n-out - with green chilies)
